Determinants of Host Resistance.

Harvest Bag has a wool delaine body, a cotton lining, and wool embroidery. I hand-spun all of the embroidery thread on my drop spindle, and I dyed it with natural dyes: marigold, cutch, madder, and indigo. The wool body is acid dyed, and the cotton lining is logwood resist dyed.

Harvest Bag speaks to the unappreciation of “women’s work” and how it parallels the unappreciation of materiality and the origin of textiles. The blue flower is a flax flower, and the yellow flower is a marigold.
