Sites of Decomposition is an ongoing series of textile works and drawings.
Each work is based on a natural occurrence of decomposition.
Works are accompanied by my photographic studies of the space they are based on.
the forever decision, 2025.
The Forever Decision is a quilted and dyed piece that is based on the decomposition site of a creekbed.
This piece is made with Japanese maple leaves pounded into iron-mordanted silk.
Cemetery Grounds, 2026.
Cemetery Grounds is a silk ikat piece conceptualized from the site of a forest floor.
I resisted and dyed this piece based on the colors of rotting chestnut husks.
